The SIDS Ministerial Conference on NCDs and Mental Health was held in Bridgetown, Barbados from 14–16 June 2023 (Atlantic time, GMT -4), with a keynote address on Tuesday, 13 June 2023. The conference was organized by the WHO, PAHO, and the Government of Barbados, and it followed the SIDS High-level technical meeting on NCDs and mental health in January 2023 and the virtual WHO SIDS Summit for Health in July 2021. It is also aligned with the SAMOA Pathway, which outlines a framework for sustainable development in small island developing states (SIDS).

The conference aimed to address the high burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health in SIDS, exacerbated by the impact of climate change and the pandemic (COVID-19) on health and economies.
