It supports individuals and organizations in building trust and engaging communities effectively during outbreaks.

Migrant Workers in Mae Sot

A survey of 500 Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand identified their knowledge, attitudes, and vaccination status.
The survey informed policy recommendations for better prevention and control measures.
Over 3,000 migrant workers were vaccinated during the visit, supported by local health professionals and volunteers.

Pandemic Preparedness and Response in Nepal

Integration of influenza and SARS-CoV-2 systems: Nepal expanded its surveillance networks to include both viruses, improving detection and monitoring.
Genetic sequencing: Established the National Pathogen Genetic Sequencing Consortium in March 2021, which confirmed the Omicron variant by mid-December 2021.
Laboratory expansion: The National Influenza Centre became the first reference laboratory for SARS-CoV-2 in January 2020 and expanded to 104 provincial public health laboratories by December 2021.
