Main Responsibilities
- Policy Development: Participate in and lead the development of technical standards, guidelines, and implementation reports related to financial institution resolution.
- Resolution Planning: Support the development of effective resolution planning in cross-border banking groups.
- Resolution Colleges: Contribute to the functioning and monitoring of resolution colleges, including participation in individual banking group colleges.
- External Representation: Represent the EBA at a technical level in relevant EU and international forums.
- Internal Support: Provide support to internal committees and subgroups, including preparing briefings for EBA representatives at meetings with external stakeholders.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria

Language Skills: Proficiency in one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.

2. Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Education: Must have completed university studies (minimum 3 years) and a diploma. For those with a 4-year degree, a diploma is sufficient.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience (if 3-year degree) or 9 years (if 4-year degree).
- At least 5 years in bank regulation or supervision.
- Recognition: Qualifications must be from EU/EEA authorities or recognized as equivalent.
- Language: Excellent knowledge of English is required. Native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency in a second EU language.
3. Selection Criteria
- EU Banking Regulation Experience: Proven experience in EU banking regulation, particularly in crisis management, resolution, and deposit guarantee schemes.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of regulatory capital and/or liquidity frameworks.
- Policy Drafting: Experience in drafting policy stances and regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in interacting with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Crisis Management: Advantageous to have experience in crisis management or resolution of financial groups.
Selection Procedure
- Confidentiality: The selection process is strictly confidential, and contact with selection committee members is forbidden.

Appointment and Employment Conditions
- Contract Type: Temporary agent fixed-term contract for three years, with a probation period of nine months and possible extension.

- Function Group and Grade: Temporary agent 2(f) at grade AD 8.
- Salary: Estimated monthly basic salary is €6,502.76.
- Taxation: Salaries are exempt from national tax; Union tax at source is applied.
- Remuneration Package: Includes various allowances and benefits based on the candidate’s family situation and origin (e.g., expatriation, household, child, education, and installation allowances).
- Benefits: Annual leave (2 days per calendar month + additional days based on age and grade), EU pension scheme after 10 years of service, sickness and accident insurance, unemployment and invalidity allowance, and travel insurance for missions.
